The Choir
Vast bioluminescent leviathans in Tidewell's deep, seen from the surface only as slow light under the swell. Their songs travel on the old analog bands; sailors swear they sometimes hear a song on the radio seconds before it comes up through the hull. Nobody has proved it, and nobody hunts the Choir: the trawler crews say they're listening.
