Mire
The bayou that swallowed a war: a Ledger Wars jungle front left behind when the money moved on, sunk under black swamp water among huge moss-hung trees, lily pads, mist and fireflies. The Sleepers, its pilotless exo-frames, still wake and wade. Herons stand in the reeds, and something big lives in the water that the locals don't name.
